Colombian President Petro Officially Became A BTC Supporter

It has been confirmed that Gustavo Petro owns Bitcoin and also he praised the Bitcoin’s backed technology.

On 1 Dec 2023, Samson Mow confirmed that he had given 10,000 satoshis to Colombia’s president Gustavo Petro. Mow shared a picture of his meeting with the president.

So now the Colombian president is a official Bitcoin holder and we can say that he is a Bitcoin proponent as he accepted the amount of Bitcoin as a gift with full happiness. 

According to local media reports, such types of Bitcoin & blockchain-focused inclination by the government official is giving a hint that goverment probably exploring a path for the adoption of this innovative sector in the country. 

Some reports claimed that there are potential chances that the Colombian government planning to develop crypto-focused regulatory framework and also they may implement the use of Bitcoin in the country. 

While some crypto proponents claimed that the Colombian president may be influenced by the El Salvador president Nayib Bukele and he may consider the use of Bitcoin in the payment services just like people are using in El Salvador. However, all these things are only a part of speculation and no such official comments came to light by the country’s president.

It is worth it to note that such bitcoin-supportive high-level government activities came to light amid the increasing bull sentiments in the Bitcoin market and it will act as another catalyst to pump the trade price of Bitcoin.

The current trade price of Bitcoin is $38,398 & this trade price is 10.24% higher over the last 30 days of trade price.
